- Showering is another way to use lots of water quickly. Get lower pressure shower heads which saves dozens of gallons of water with each shower. Another way to save shower water is to get wet, turn the water off, lather up, and then turn the water back on to rinse off the lather.

- In order to save water, do your hand watering in the evening and set your sprinklers for the middle of the night. Watering at night will save water because less water evaporates in cooler air, and a larger percentage of the water gets to the plants that need it.

- Use your washing machine and dishwasher to its capacity.
